2022 Advanced Level Results

Aberdare Community School is delighted to announce their A Level and BTEC results and would like to congratulate all students and staff for their resilience, determination, hard work and commitment during such a challenging time.  A fantastic 100% of Year 13 students secured level 3 qualifications of which 33% of grades achieved were A*-A and 80% of grades achieved were A*-C. Nearly all students have been successful in securing their first-choice university place. This is a fantastic achievement.

We would also like to congratulate our Year 12 learners who also received examination results today.

Headteacher, Mrs C Morgans, said “These young people need to be congratulated for their tremendous achievements in challenging circumstances. They have demonstrated a great level of resilience and maturity which will stand them in good stead for the future.  We are delighted with their success and wish them well in their next steps.”

Fundraising

Good afternoon,

On Friday 1st April we will be fundraising to support 'Help for Harri'.

Harri is 3 years old and has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Harri’s family have been told there is no other options /treatment for Harri available on the NHS. Their last option is to fly him overseas to either Singapore or the USA to give him the best opportunity. The amount needed for treatment £1,000,000.

To raise money for the charity it has been agreed that all learners and staff can wear odd socks as a charity fundraising idea.

There will be no set charge for this but learners will be asked to donate money for doing so. Members of the senior learning team will then come and collect the donations from you during form time.

Many thanks for your support.
