Bank Holiday - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the state funeral is scheduled to take place on Monday 19th September.
As you will be aware, following the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the state funeral is scheduled to take place on Monday 19th September.
Aberdare Community School will be closed on this day as this will be a designated bank holiday.
We have been requested by the local authority to advise our parents and carers of this at the earliest opportunity so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
2022 Advanced Level Results
Aberdare Community School is delighted to announce their A Level and BTEC results and would like to congratulate all students and staff for their resilience, determination, hard work and commitment during such a challenging time. A fantastic 100% of Year 13 students secured level 3 qualifications of which 33% of grades achieved were A*-A and 80% of grades achieved were A*-C. Nearly all students have been successful in securing their first-choice university place. This is a fantastic achievement.
We would also like to congratulate our Year 12 learners who also received examination results today.
Headteacher, Mrs C Morgans, said “These young people need to be congratulated for their tremendous achievements in challenging circumstances. They have demonstrated a great level of resilience and maturity which will stand them in good stead for the future. We are delighted with their success and wish them well in their next steps.”
